Sandwiches are one of my favorite foods, it’s easy to make and good for anytime of the day. Ideal as a snack, can be taken to work, school, or picnics to be eaten as part of a packed lunch. There are different types of sandwiches according to the ingredients of the filling. Vegetables, fish, meat, eggs,mayonnaise or mustard paste are among the typical ingredients of sandwiches.  Here, i am presenting you some healthy sandwich recipes 

Beetroot sandwich 

Ingredients :

  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • 1 beetroot 
  • Salt as per your taste 
  • Black pepper powder as per your taste 
  • ½ tbsp of Mustard powder 
  • 1 ½ tbsp of butter 

Method : first boil the beetroot and cut into slices. Mix butter, mustard powder,salt and black pepper powder together. Spread the butter mixture onto a slice of bread, place a beetroot slice on it and then place another slice of bread to cover it. Press gently to set the sandwich. Likewise make sandwiches with all the bread slices.  Another method is to make beetroot sandwich is taking shredded beetroot instead of boiled beetroot slices. Mix shredded beetroot with the butter mixture and spread it over bread slices.  

Roasted chicken sandwiches: 










 

 

 

Ingredients : 

  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • Roasted chicken breasts 
  • 1 ½ tbsp of Butter
  • ½ tbsp of mustard powder 
  • Black pepper powder as per your taste 
  • Salt as per your taste 

Method: Mix butter, mustard powder,salt and black pepper powder together. Spread the butter mixture onto a slice of bread, place a roasted chicken breast slice on it and then place another slice of bread to cover it. Press gently to set the sandwich. Likewise make sandwiches with all the bread slices. If you  like you can add some vegetables like onions, bellpepper, lettuce can be added to the sandwich. 

Green chili and cheese sandwich 

Ingredients : 

  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • Grated cheddar cheese 
  • Minced Green chiles 
  • ½ tbsp of mustard powder 
  • Black pepper powder as per your taste 
  • Salt as per your taste 
  • 1 tbsp of Butter

Method : Spread butter on bread slices and then add grated cheese on it. Next add green chilies with pepper powder, mustard powder and salt.  Place another slice of bread to cover it. Press gently to set the sandwich. Likewise make sandwiches with all the bread slices. You can make cheese sandwiches without adding green chile as well.

Egg yellow sandwiches 

Ingredients : 

  • Boiled egg yellow 
  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • Butter 
  • Mustard powder 
  • Salt 
  • Black pepper powder 
  • Vinegar 

Method : mix boiled egg yellow with salt, pepper powder, mustard powder and a little bit of vinegar and make a paste. Spread butter on a  bread slice and then spread the egg yellow paste on it. Place another slice of bread to cover it. Press gently to set the sandwich. Likewise make sandwiches with all the bread slices. 

Fish sandwich 

Ingredients : 

  • Boiled Seer fish  
  • Lime juice as per your taste 
  • Salt as per your taste 
  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • 1 ½ tbsp of Butter 
  • Black pepper powder 

Method : Remove the bones from the fish and smash them with salt, pepper powder, lime juice and make a paste. Spread butter on a slice of bread and spread some  fish paste on it. Place another slice of bread to cover it. Press gently to set the sandwich. Likewise make sandwiches with all the bread slices. You can make prawn sandwiches the same way. 

Cucumber sandwich 

Ingredients : 

  • Cucumber slices 
  • Some  butter 
  • Mustard powder 
  • Sandwich bread slices
  • Black pepper powder 
  • salt  

Method : Remove the bitterness from the cucumbers and cut into slices after peeling them. Keep the cucumber slices in salt water for a few minutes. Next drain the salt water and take cucumber slices mix them with mustard powder and pepper powder. Spread some butter on bread slices, place cucumber slices on them, cover with some other bread slices and press gently to set the sandwiches.  

Banana sandwiches 

Ingredients : 

  • Sandwich breads 
  • Banana 
  • Some sugar
  • Some butter 
  • Lime juice 

Method : first spread butter on bread slices. Smash the bananas with lime and sugar. Spread the banana mixture on bread slices, place other bread slices on them and press gently to set the sandwiches. 

Dates and coconut treacle sandwiches 

Ingredients : 

  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • Coconut treacle 
  • Butter 
  • Dates 

Method : Deseeded the dates. Spread butter on bread slices. Then spread coconut treacle on them. Place the dates on them. Cover them with bread slices and press to set sandwiches. 

Onion sandwiches 

  • Lettuce 
  • Cheddar cheese slices 
  • Onion slices 
  • Black pepper powder 
  • Lime juice 
  • Sandwich bread slices 

Method :  mix onions with pepper powder and lime. Place cheese slices and onion mix on bread slices, next place the lettuce leaves on them, cover those with bread slices and press to set the sandwiches. 

Tomato sandwiches 

Ingredients : 

  • Two tomatoes 
  • Sandwich bread slices 
  • Vinegar 
  • Black pepper powder 
  • Salt 
  • Butter 

Method : Keep the tomatoes in warm water for a few minutes and peel them. Then crush them with the other ingredients and make a paste. Spread the tomato paste on the bread slices and cover them with some other bread slices and make the sandwiches.
