Coffee & oats smoothie

This smoothie is perfect to start your day.  You need to make coffee the night before and pour them into an ice cube tray and let it freeze. You can make two servings from this recipe. You need bananas, coffee, oats and milk/soy milk to make this. Instead of using sugar we add honey to make this smoothie. To improve the flavor, cocoa powder is added. You can add chocolate instead. Cocoa powder has antioxidants. Oats are beneficial to health as well. This smoothie  gives 144kcals. Indeed it is a healthy beverage. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee

  • 1 banana

  • 1/4- cup  oats

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon flaxseeds meal (optional)

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup soy milk or almond milk or milk

  • 1 teaspoon honey

Method :

Pour coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight. Combine all the ingredients in a blender, including the coffee ice cubes and blend until smooth.Taste for sweetness and adjust accordingly.Serve and enjoy.
