Let's make Beetroot smoothie

I have written an article about the health benefits of Beets. This vegetable is full of nutrients. As Sri Lankans we eat Beets as a curry with rice. Researchers have proved that drinking Beetroot juice can lower the blood pressure. This is the recipe to make a healthy beverage from Beetroot. 

If you have kidney stones drinking Beetroot juice is not recommended for you, because it contains oxalate which promotes formation of kidney stones. 

ingredients :

  • A beetroot about 150g 

  • Half of Orange 

  • ½  teaspoon of Cinnamon powder

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar 

  • 500 ml of water 

Method : 

Blend well all the ingredients mentioned above. Do not filter it. Pour into a glass and enjoy your drink.
